One of our partners and investors was AEON, an $80bn retailer operating in Asia (and known as the Walmart of the east). Seeing the success of Boxed and understanding how our technology was integral to powering businesses at scale, they sought to leverage our technology to run their rails, one country at a time.
A flagship partner on the enterprise side of Spresso.ai (formerly Boxed Solutions), AEON was in need of a end-to-end platform to power their omnichannel business. This included an e-commerce platform, content management system, warehouse management systems, inventory management, last-mile delivery and logistics, robotics, and much more.
End-to-end Platform

The AEON Mobile App has truly transformed the way customers interact with AEON's offerings. By blending aesthetics, usability, and convenience, I contributed to an app experience that puts the power of AEON's retail empire directly into the hands of customers. From effortless browsing and purchasing to personalized rewards and convenient store services, the AEON Mobile App delivers a comprehensive and delightful shopping experience, redefining convenience in the digital age.

Seamless Checkout
To streamline the purchasing process, I focused on creating a frictionless checkout journey. Seamlessly integrated payment options, such as credit cards, digital wallets, and AEON membership cards, provide users with a variety of convenient choices. By incorporating secure and intuitive payment flows, I instilled confidence and trust in customers, making their transactions swift and worry-free.

Last-mile Delivery and Logistics
Collaborating closely with logistics partners, we optimized the delivery route planning and fleet management to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. By integrating technology, such as GPS tracking and optimized routing algorithms, I aimed to minimize delivery delays and optimize delivery personnel's productivity.

Picker App
In parallel, the picker app was designed to facilitate efficient order fulfillment within AEON's facilities. Leveraging intuitive interfaces and barcode scanning capabilities, I created an interface that allows pickers to easily locate and gather items for delivery. I incorporated features such as real-time inventory updates, picking prioritization, and optimized pathways within the facilities to enhance productivity and accuracy.

Rider App
For the rider app, I focused on creating a streamlined and user-friendly interface that enables delivery personnel to efficiently manage their routes and complete deliveries. I designed intuitive navigation features, real-time tracking, and interactive maps that guide riders to their destinations seamlessly. By providing clear instructions, order details, and optimized routing, I aimed to minimize delivery time and enhance customer satisfaction.

Admin Dashboard

The admin management dashboard offers a centralized place where managers can monitor and control various aspects of the delivery process. I designed a visually appealing and informative dashboard that provides real-time insights and key performance indicators, allowing managers to track delivery progress, monitor order fulfillment, and analyze data for informed decision-making.

To optimize operations, I incorporated features that allow managers to effectively assign and allocate resources, such as delivery personnel and pickers, based on demand and availability. By integrating intelligent scheduling algorithms, I aimed to minimize downtime, optimize workforce utilization, and enhance overall productivity.
The admin dashboard also offers comprehensive reporting and analytics capabilities. I designed intuitive data visualization features that present key metrics, including order fulfillment rates, delivery timeframes, and customer satisfaction. This empowers managers to gain actionable insights, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven strategies to enhance the overall delivery experience.
The insights and reporting tool represents a powerful resource that enables data-driven decision-making. By providing access to real-time data, customizable reports, and intuitive visualizations, the tool equips managers with the knowledge and insights needed to optimize operations, enhance efficiency, and deliver a superior goods delivery experience within AEON's retail ecosystem.
Being part of this innovative project has further strengthened my expertise in designing user-centric solutions that bridge the gap between online and offline retail.
